Los Angeles resident criticizes substandard pothole repair

A Los Angeles homeowner has expressed regret after requesting a repair for a massive pothole that had been collecting rubble for over a year. Following a 13-month wait, county workers arrived to perform the repair, but the resident reported that the work was substandard.

The homeowner claimed that workers spent approximately 30 minutes on-site, leaving asphalt splattered across the area rather than properly filling the crater. The resident described the result as “the worst pothole filling I’ve ever seen.”

The incident has drawn significant criticism on social media, with many users directing their frustration toward Mayor Karen Bass. The backlash follows a previous controversy in which the mayor was criticized for a different pothole-related response involving the installation of parking signs.
