Los Angeles Road Rage Suspect Arrested After 100‑MPH Chase

A driver wanted in a July 3 road‑rage incident in Santa Monica was captured after a 45‑minute high‑speed pursuit on July 21. The California Highway Patrol, responding to a request from Santa Monica police, chased the suspect’s black Range Rover through the 405 and 101 freeways, reaching speeds over 100 mph and weaving across lanes. The pursuit ended near South San Gabriel when a CHP cruiser forced the SUV off the road and the driver surrendered. Authorities said the incident is unrelated to an earlier fatal shooting near the Santa Monica Pier.
