Los Angeles Sparks name interim GM duo after Raegan Pebley's departure
The Los Angeles Sparks announced they have mutually part‑ended their relationship with general manager Raegan Pebley. Pebley, hired in January 2024 with no prior executive experience, compiled a 39‑66 record during her tenure, which included the dismissal of coach Curt Miller in September 2024 and the hiring of Lynne Roberts, who posted a 21‑23 record last season.
In the interim, assistant general managers Zach Knowlton and Nate Nielsen will share the GM responsibilities. The Sparks are currently 10‑11, sit ninth in the WNBA standings, and have not reached the playoffs since 2020. The franchise’s championship years are 2001, 2002 and 2016. Sparks managing partner and governor Eric Holoman thanked Pebley for her leadership and contribution to the organization.
