Los Angeles Stabbing Incidents: Deputy Injured in Lancaster and Fatal Attack in Koreatown

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department released body‑camera footage showing suspect Robert Castro stabbing a deputy in a Lancaster parking lot on June 20, after which two deputies opened fire. The injured deputy received non‑life‑threatening treatment and is expected to recover. The California Attorney General’s office has launched an independent review of the shooting.

A separate incident on July 30 in Los Angeles’s Koreatown left one man dead and another hospitalized after a double stabbing on Alexandria Avenue. Police have cordoned off the area, placed a canopy over the victim’s body, and are searching for three men who fled the scene in a white car. Robbery and homicide detectives are handling the investigation.
