Los Angeles traffic report captures unidentified spherical object

A FOX 11 news helicopter captured footage of an unidentified spherical object hovering over a Los Angeles freeway interchange during a live traffic broadcast. The footage, which shows the object appearing during a routine monitoring of commuter delays, has circulated widely online, prompting debate regarding whether the object is a drone, balloon, or aircraft.

No official identification of the object has been established. The sighting occurs amid ongoing government efforts to disclose information regarding unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). Under an executive directive from President Trump, the Department of War has been releasing declassified files through its PURSUE program. Recent releases include 71 files spanning from 1952 to 2025, though many of these documents remain heavily redacted.
