Los Angeles Woman Arrested After Driving Car onto Venice Pier

A woman drove a car onto the pedestrian Venice Pier in Los Angeles, forcing beachgoers to jump out of the way. The vehicle struck a cyclist and continued toward police officers, prompting a brief pursuit that ended near Marina del Rey where officers used a PIT maneuver to stop the car. The driver was taken into custody and faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and a possible DUI.

Witness Daniel Lopez, who was fishing on the pier with his son, said, "It was extremely traumatizing for me," describing how they had to dodge the vehicle twice. Police reported that no officers were injured during the incident.
