Los Cabos and Almería host community and sporting initiatives
Various municipal and community initiatives are underway in Los Cabos, Mexico, and Almería, Spain. In Los Cabos, the XV Ayuntamiento has collected 256 kilograms of plastic bottle caps to support children and adolescents with cancer through the Fundación Banco de Tapitas. Additionally, the Municipal Health Institute is providing free psychological care for all ages in the Altamira and Vista Hermosa neighborhoods.
Social and environmental governance is also a focus in Los Cabos. The IV Children's Council has formed seven commissions to allow youth to propose solutions for local needs, while the Committee for Local Participatory Ecological Planning has extended its public consultation period to 90 days to ensure thorough technical analysis. The region is also hosting the ‘Duelo de Titanes’ boxing event in Cabo San Lucas.
In Almería, Spain, the XXIII Feria de Almería Boxing Gala will take place on August 22 at the Rafael Lozano Gymnasium. The event features twelve amateur bouts highlighting local talent and young prospects, organized by Club Almería Boxing and the Rafael Lozano School.
