Los Chankas appoints Juan Carlos Bazalar as new head coach

Los Chankas has appointed Juan Carlos Bazalar as its new head coach to navigate a difficult period in the Torneo Clausura 2026. The decision follows the departure of former manager Walter Paolella after the team suffered five consecutive defeats.

Currently sitting in sixteenth place in the Clausura standings with only seven points, the club aims to use Bazalar’s previous experience with the team—having coached them in 2021—to improve their league position. Despite the struggles in the Clausura, the club maintains a sixth-place position in the cumulative standings with 41 points.
