Los Frontera to Mark 55 Years at Ciudad Juárez Festival Cultural 60 y Más

The norteña and regional music group Los Frontera, based in Ciudad Juárez, will be honored for 55 years of artistic activity with a special concert on Saturday, 15 August at 5:30 p.m. The performance will take place outside the former Municipal Presidency as part of the Festival Cultural 60 y Más.

The festival, organized by the Instituto para la Cultura del Municipio de Juárez (IPACULT) together with municipal social‑service agencies, begins at 11:00 a.m. in the Mtra. Claudia Gutiérrez Chaparro forum of the Centro Municipal de las Artes. It features artistic activities for people over 60, including singing, dancing and poetry recitals. IPACULT director Ogla Liset Olivas said the event offers an opportunity to recognize a band that has become a staple of the border‑region music scene, performing for audiences in Ciudad Juárez, El Paso, Texas and beyond. A plaque of recognition will be presented to Los Frontera during the ceremony.
