Los Glaciares National Park sees second-quarter tourism decline

Los Glaciares National Park reported a 7.4% increase in total visitors during the first half of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 420,227 visitors. However, recent data indicates a concerning downward trend in tourism activity.

While the first quarter saw a 12.7% increase in visitors, the second quarter experienced a 10.3% year-on-year decline. Between April and June 2026, the park received 80,604 visitors, compared to 89,877 during the same months in 2025. This decline is notable as it exceeds the typical seasonal slowdown observed at the end of the high season.
