Los Llanos de Aridane council allocates space for medical clinic in Puerto Naos
The Los Llanos de Aridane City Council has unanimously approved the transfer of a municipal building in Puerto Naos to the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS). The goal is to facilitate the establishment of a local medical clinic to serve the coastal neighborhood.
Mayor Javier Llamas stated that the facility, located on Mauricio Duque Camacho Street, will allow residents, particularly the elderly and those with mobility issues, to access healthcare without traveling to other parts of the municipality. The transfer is a free lease for a period of 40 years, which may be extended until a permanent health center is constructed.
While the council has provided the space, the final decision regarding the installation and operation of the clinic rests with the Canary Islands Health Service, which must first verify if the premises meet the necessary requirements.
