Los Llanos de Aridane to hire 22 workers for rural road improvements
The Los Llanos de Aridane City Council has announced the hiring of 22 individuals to implement a plan for the recovery and improvement of rural roads. The project is scheduled to take place between October 1 and December 31, 2026.
The works will focus on the Bergoyo, Caldereta, and Jeduy paths, which are frequently used by local residents and workers in the rural environment. The workforce will consist of ten agricultural laborers, four first-class bricklayers, and eight construction laborers.
Mayor Javier Llamas stated that the program serves to “generate employment and, at the same time, address specific needs of the municipality.” The initiative is funded with 155,613.30 euros from the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) as part of the 2026 Program for the Promotion of Agricultural Employment in Depressed Rural Areas. The Canary Islands Employment Service is responsible for coordinating the selection of candidates.
