Los Mellos and Peña Gómez to compete for Group A leadership in softball

Los Mellos and Peña Gómez have secured victories in the Rubén Pimentel Junior B Softball Tournament, setting the stage to compete for the leadership of Group A in the Distrito Nacional.

In the first match, Los Mellos achieved a dominant 13-1 knockout victory over Matachata at the Alfredo Tejada Stadium. Key offensive contributors for Los Mellos included Jery Arias, who hit two home runs and drove in five runs, and Robert Cruz, who recorded four RBIs. Miguel Araujo was credited with the win on the mound.

In the second match, Peña Gómez defeated Matachata with a score of 11-6. Manuel García led the offense for Peña Gómez with two home runs and two RBIs, while José Félix earned the victory as the pitcher.
