Los Menucos to build Geological Interpretation Center and expand infrastructure
The government of Río Negro and the municipality of Los Menucos have announced several infrastructure and development projects, headlined by the construction of a Geological Interpretation Center. The center aims to highlight the town's mining history, geological wealth, and natural heritage, serving as both an educational resource and a new tourist attraction.
In addition to the cultural center, officials signed agreements for the construction of 12 new homes under the Habitary program. Infrastructure improvements include the third stage of the sewage network expansion, which is expected to benefit 100 families, and continued work on storm drainage systems.
To enhance local security, funds have been allocated to a 911 Monitoring Center. This facility will strengthen video surveillance and technological monitoring, particularly for Route 23, which serves as a vital connectivity hub for the southern region.
