Youth leadership initiatives launched in Querétaro and Michoacán

In Querétaro, authorities have launched several initiatives to recognize and involve youth in civic and academic life. Governor Mauricio Kuri González presented the “Líderes que Inspiran” magazine, which features 50 university students recognized for excellence in STEM, sports, innovation, and culture. Additionally, the 2026 State Youth Award honored 11 winners—eight individuals and three teams—for contributions to social work, technology, and the environment, with winners receiving 30,000 pesos each.

In Michoacán, the Legislative Power is organizing the 2026 Inclusive Youth Parliament. A total of 105 applicants have submitted proposals, including 89 legislative initiatives and 16 social projects. The selection process aims to ensure representation for indigenous communities, the LGBT community, and persons with disabilities, addressing modern challenges such as mental health, artificial intelligence, and environmental protection.
