Los Mochis to host Préstame tus Piernas 2026 inclusion race
DIF Ahome and the Municipal Sports Institute (IMDA) have announced the 'Préstame tus Piernas 2026' pedestrian race, an event designed to promote social inclusion and solidarity for individuals with physical or mental disabilities.
Scheduled for Sunday, November 8, the race celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Fundación Préstame tus Piernas, A. C. The 5-kilometer recreational route will begin and end at Plaza Punto in Los Mochis at 7:30 AM. Participants may choose to run, jog, or walk.
A unique feature of the event is the participation of 'angels' who accompany captains during the course to foster empathy and unity. Currently, over 120 captains are registered for the event. Following the race, organizers plan to host various recreational activities to encourage community integration among participants and their families.
