Loïs Openda linked with Lyon, Lens, Rennes and Coventry

Juventus have exercised the purchase option on Belgian striker Loïs Openda, paying a total fee of about €45‑€47 million. The club is now seeking to move the forward, who scored 21 goals and provided four assists for RC Lens last season but failed to find the net regularly at Juventus.

French clubs Olympique Lyonnais, RC Lens and Stade Rennais have all made enquiries, with Lyon reportedly already contacting Juventus officials. Lens, where Openda previously excelled, is considered the strongest French candidate. Coventry City in England’s Premier League also view the 26‑year‑old as a potential target to bolster their attack. Juventus hope to recover at least €35 million from any deal, and are open to loan arrangements with a purchase clause.

Openda, who was omitted from Belgium’s World Cup squad, is training with Juventus ahead of the upcoming season while his future remains unresolved.
