Los Pumas prepare in San Juan ahead of Wales clash in Nations Championship
From July 8 to July 11, the Argentine rugby side Los Pumas will be based in San Juan for a series of training sessions, club visits and technical workshops ahead of their Nations Championship match against Wales. The team arrived on Sunday and was welcomed by San Juan’s minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Guido Romero, along with sports agency and rugby union leaders. During the week the squad will hold training at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario, conduct youth‑rugby clinics, and attend seminars on World Rugby regulations and foot‑ball tactics.
The culminating event is the international test on Saturday, July 11, when Los Pumas face Wales at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario as part of the 2026 Nations Championship, marking a high‑profile fixture for the province and the Argentine rugby community.
