Los Ríos Region, Chile, launches cultural network and regional fair
In Río Bueno, the Seremi of Cultures, Arts and Heritage Hugo Ortiz de Filippi convened more than 50 representatives from the 12 municipalities of Chile's Los Ríos Region. The participants approved a 50 million‑peso investment for the 2026‑2030 work plan, which includes creating the "Fiesta Red Ríos Culturales" regional fair, establishing a diploma in cultural communication, and hiring a dedicated professional to coordinate municipal and regional efforts.
The fair is slated to align with a future regional anniversary, and the network will hold three additional meetings: Futrono on 14 July, La Unión on 8 September, and Lago Ranco on 10 November. As the seremi noted, “Nuestro ministerio ha impulsado la Red Ríos Culturales para unir a las comunas en torno al trabajo colaborativo.”
