Los Tordos Rugby Club to host inaugural M-16 National Tournament

Los Tordos Rugby Club has been selected to host the inaugural M-16 National Club Champions Tournament, titled the “Beto Jofré” tournament. Scheduled to take place from November 6 to 8, 2026, in Mendoza, Argentina, the event is sanctioned by the Unión Argentina de Rugby (UAR).

The competition will bring together champion clubs from the country's primary unions, including the host club, Los Tordos. The tournament format will utilize a knockout system with reduced match times to determine the first Argentine M-16 club champion.

Named in honor of Alberto “Beto” Jofré, a founding member and influential figure at Los Tordos, the event aims to support the development of future M-17 regional selections. Beyond the matches, the organizers plan to provide participants with training, tourism, and social activities.
