Los Vagos motorcycle club linked to brawl at Biker Fest

The Municipal Public Security Secretariat (SSPM) has identified the motorcycle group ‘Los Vagos’ as the likely perpetrators of a mass brawl during the 15th edition of Biker Fest 2026. The event took place at the Plaza de la Mexicanidad from October 2 to 4.

Authorities arrested 30 individuals involved in the altercation, though no injuries were reported. Among those detained, 17 were U.S. citizens identified as members of the group, which was founded in 1965 in San Bernardino, California. Most of the detainees were described as veterans, identified by their denim vests with red and green patches.

All arrested individuals were issued administrative sanctions. Security spokesperson Adrián Sánchez Contreras noted that while the event is promoted as a family gathering, previous years have seen violent incidents requiring special police operations.
