Lost cat found in Isère after month-long search
A family from Versailles has been reunited with their two-year-old black cat, Chanel, after she went missing for nearly a month. The cat escaped from a vehicle during a rest stop at the L’Isle-d’Abeau highway service area in Isère on August 8.
Following the disappearance, the family stayed near the site to conduct searches, supported by a community of approximately thirty volunteers, local residents, and internet users. Despite a 500-euro reward attracting some bad actors, the intensive search efforts—often conducted at night—succeeded. Chanel was located approximately 200 meters from where she originally escaped and has since returned to her family in Paris in good health.
