LOST10 drama features shocking plot twist in second episode
The TBS human suspense drama ‘LOST10’, starring Ryusei Yokohama, has reached a dramatic turning point in its second episode. The story, set against the backdrop of a mountain accident known as the ‘Shikaradake Incident’ in Hokkaido, has shifted from a survival story into a potential insurance fraud and murder investigation.
Following the discovery of a deceased tour participant, Nikaido, with sleeping pills in his system, investigations revealed that tour participant Aya Sawatari was the beneficiary of mountain insurance totaling up to 20 million yen. Tensions escalated as conflicting testimonies emerged between tour guide Motoka Tabata, played by Marie Iitoyo, and Sawatari, played by Anne Nakamura, regarding the events leading to the incident.
The episode concluded with a major cliffhanger when Tabata jumped from an apartment rooftop in front of the protagonist, detective Komoma. Actress Marie Iitoyo noted in an interview that the series’ theme is ‘suspect everything,’ highlighting how the narrative shifts perspectives to keep viewers uncertain about who is a victim or a perpetrator.
