LOT Polish Airlines launches Fly&Rail intermodal service

LOT Polish Airlines has introduced Fly&Rail, a new service that allows passengers to book air and rail travel within a single reservation and payment. Developed in partnership with AccesRail, the service integrates rail connections into the airline's booking system to provide more flexible travel options.

In its initial phase, the service focuses on short-haul flights and covers 33 railway stations across Switzerland and Sweden. Passengers arriving in Zurich, Geneva, or Stockholm can access 18 stations in Switzerland via Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and 15 stations in Sweden via Swedish State Railways (SJ).

While the booking is unified, check-in processes remain separate. Passengers check in for their flight as usual, but must use the AccesRail Check-In platform for the rail portion of their journey, which becomes available 72 hours before departure. The airline intends to gradually expand this intermodal offering across its entire network.
