LOT Polish Airlines suspends multiple regional and international routes

LOT Polish Airlines is scaling back several regional and international routes as part of its winter schedule adjustments. The national carrier has suspended its Krakow to Madrid service, with the final flight scheduled for October 30. This route is expected to return on March 28.

This suspension is part of a broader trend where five out of six recently launched regional routes have been suspended or closed, including connections from Krakow to Rome and Barcelona, and flights from Gdansk to Oslo and Bergen. The airline faces significant pressure in regional hubs from low-cost competitors such as Ryanair and Wizz Air, alongside high fuel costs.

Additionally, LOT will not resume direct flights between Warsaw and Dubai for the upcoming winter season. Ticket sales for the 2026/2027 winter season have been disabled. Passengers traveling from Warsaw to Dubai will instead rely on carriers such as Emirates, flydubai, Etihad Airways, or Air Arabia.
