LOTAMS opens new aircraft maintenance hangar in Rzeszów

LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services (LOTAMS) has opened a new 12,000-square-meter hangar at Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport in Poland. The facility is designed to service two wide-body aircraft, such as Boeing 787 Dreamliners or Airbus A350s, simultaneously, or up to five narrow-body aircraft through flexible space configuration.

The facility includes workshops, laboratories for composite testing and X-ray inspections, warehouses, and technical and office facilities. It operates in compliance with EASA Part-145 European regulations, which is essential for securing contracts from international carriers.

Officials noted the strategic location of the base, as aircraft from major European hubs can reach the facility via ferry flight within two to three hours. Radosław Stępień of Polish Group LOT indicated that the site is part of a long-term development plan, with further expansion intended to support the growing fleet of LOT Polish Airlines.
