Lotería Nacional de Beneficencia announces modernization and denies ticket shortages
The Lotería Nacional de Beneficencia (LNB) has dismissed rumors of ticket shortages, confirming that the printing of lottery tickets and chances will continue according to its usual schedule. To ensure national availability for approximately 14,000 vendors, the institution maintains a reserve in its vault equivalent to seven or eight upcoming draws.
Director Isidro Carbonell announced that the LNB is undergoing a technological modernization process aimed at improving internal systems, including the reception, classification, delivery, and payment of winning tickets. This initiative is intended to increase security, strengthen controls, and reduce wait times for both buyers and vendors.
While the institution plans to incorporate machinery to automate manual classification processes, Carbonell clarified that the current digital transformation focuses on internal operations and will not displace traditional ticket sellers. Any significant shift in the sales model may not occur for another eight to ten years, depending on market evolution.
