Loto 6/49 winner collects €3.32 million prize in Romania

A man from Prahova, approximately 50 years old, has collected a first-category prize of 17,760,754.40 lei (over €3.32 million) from the Loto 6/49 draw held on October 22, 2026. The winner presented himself at the Romanian Lottery central headquarters on Monday, October 26, to claim the winnings.

The winner, who has played the lottery for over 20 years, chose his numbers online via the AmParcat.ro mobile application. He used three simple variations for a total cost of 24.50 lei. He noted that in recent years, he has consistently used the same numbers due to their personal significance. While he has won smaller prizes in the past, this marks his first major jackpot.

After accounting for an estimated 40% tax of approximately 7.1 million lei, the winner is expected to retain roughly 10.65 million lei (approximately €2.1 million). The individual has requested to remain anonymous. This event marks the third first-category win for Loto 6/49 recorded this year.
