The clip, which follows Messi's retirement from the Argentine national team, features the 39-year-old writing a farewell letter and listing ten players he views as potential heirs to his legacy.

Wrede, an 18-year-old striker for the HSV women's team, was described in the video as a ‘torgefährliche offensive Trumpfkarte’ (goal-scoring offensive trump card). She is included in an exclusive list alongside other rising talents such as Can Uzun and Gilberto Mora. Wrede, who has drawn interest from major clubs like FC Barcelona, recently extended her contract with HSV until the summer of 2027.
