LOTTE Biologics and Alvotech partner for US-based biosimilar manufacturing

LOTTE Biologics and Alvotech have entered into a long-term strategic manufacturing partnership to increase the global supply of biosimilar medicines. Under the agreement, LOTTE Biologics will manufacture drug substance for multiple antibody biosimilar products at its facility in Syracuse, New York.

The Syracuse site features 40,000 liters of bioreactor capacity for biologics manufacturing, alongside on-site process development and quality control capabilities. The facility recently completed an unannounced FDA inspection with zero observations. This collaboration is intended to expand Alvotech’s US-based manufacturing footprint and strengthen its global supply network to meet growing international demand.
