Lotte Mart and Seven-Eleven bread reaches 1 million sales

Lotte Mart, Lotte Super, and Seven-Eleven announced that their collaborative private brand product, ‘Sumgyeol Tong-sikppang’ (Breathable Whole Loaf Bread), surpassed 1 million cumulative sales on October 25. The milestone was reached 193 days after its initial launch on April 16.

Sales distribution shows Lotte Mart and Super accounted for approximately 670,000 units, while Seven-Eleven sold about 330,000 units. Within Lotte Mart and Super’s bread category, the product currently ranks first in cumulative sales, performing approximately 3.5 times better than representative mass-produced bread products.

The product utilizes a patented lactic acid bacteria fermentation method developed by the Lotte Central Research Institute, with production handled by Lotte Wellfood. Priced in the 2,000 won range, the 400g loaf features a soft texture and subtle sweetness from honey and condensed milk.

To celebrate the milestone, Lotte Mart and Super will hold a 10% discount promotion from October 29 to November 11.
