Lotte to launch seasonal moon-themed Yukimi Daifuku in Japan

Lotte Co., Ltd. has announced the release of a seasonal product, ‘Yukimi Daifuku Autumn Limited Otsukimi Style,’ starting in early September 2026. The limited-edition ice cream features yellow mochi designed to resemble a full moon, wrapping rich vanilla ice cream.

The product will be available nationwide in Japan until early October. Packaging includes four different designs, including a rare version where the product name is changed to ‘Tsukimi Daifuku.’

In conjunction with the launch, Lotte will host an experiential event titled ‘Yukimi Daifuku Minna de Otsukimi-kai’ at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building’s Sankaku Hiroba from September 25 to 27, 2026. The event will feature a large moon installation, a customizable ‘my Yukimi Daifuku’ stall, traditional mochi-pounding experiences, and an LED lantern release.
