Lotte Wellfood launches apple-based product series with Gunwi County

Lotte Wellfood has partnered with Gunwi County and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to launch a series of 15 new products featuring Gunwi apples. This initiative is part of the ‘2026 Population Decline Area-Enterprise Collaboration Support Project’ aimed at revitalizing local economies and expanding market access for regional agricultural products.

The new product lineup includes 11 confectionery items, 2 frozen treats, and 2 bakery products, incorporating brands such as Mon Cher, Kkokkalcorn, and ABC Choco Cookie. To promote the collaboration, the products feature the slogan ‘Gunwi Apple Wat-dei’ and include information about the quality of Gunwi apples on their packaging.

Promotion efforts include pop-up stores in Seoul and participation in regional festivals in Daegu. Gunwi County, which accounts for approximately 80% of Daegu's apple production, aims to use this partnership to increase the brand value of its apples and secure new sales channels through Lotte Wellfood's extensive distribution networks.
