LotteRia's new shrimp burger reaches 1 million sales in two weeks

LotteRia introduced two variants of its "Ria Duom Shrimp" burger on 16 May. Within two weeks the combined sales hit one million units, achieving 242 % of the original target. The pace outstripped previous launches, selling 40 % more per store than the 2025 "Cheongyang Crispy Whole Shrimp Burger" and 137 % more than the 2024 "TongSoo Crunch KIM".

Because of the strong demand, LotteRia announced an additional 700,000 units will be produced. The spicy tomato version, featuring a shrimp‑extract‑infused sauce, sold out quickly and will be restocked. Market research showed the product appealed more to male customers, while the original "Ria Shrimp" attracted more female buyers. LotteRia said the high‑volume sales reflect positive consumer response to the thick shrimp patty and sauce combination.
