Lottery results: Jackpots in South Africa and New Zealand

Recent lottery draws in South Africa and New Zealand have resulted in various winners and unclaimed jackpots.

In South Africa, the October 6, 2026, draw saw no winners for the PowerBall or PowerBall Xtra jackpots, which had a combined estimated value of R103 million. However, three players shared the Daily Lotto jackpot. Under the National Lottery’s rules, winners have 365 days to claim prizes, after which funds are transferred to the National Lotteries Distribution Trust Fund to support community development, arts, and culture.

In New Zealand, the October 7, 2026, Lotto draw saw one player win the Lotto First Division prize of $1 million, with the winning ticket sold at Pak N Save Clarence Street in Hamilton. While the Powerball and Strike Four jackpots remained unclaimed, three players won $66,813 each in the Lotto Second Division. Lotto NZ continues to return 100% of its profits to Kiwi communities through various grant programmes.
