Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz head calls for global gambling standards
Christian Baldauf, the Managing Director of Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz, has marked his first 100 days in office by addressing industry challenges and outlining his strategic goals. To combat this, he called for the establishment of clear, unified standards within the European and global lottery communities to protect minors and prevent gambling addiction.
As a state-mandated entity, Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz operates under specific financial rules: half of the revenue is distributed as prizes, while the remainder covers taxes and operational costs. A significant portion of the remaining funds is directed toward social, humanitarian, cultural, and sporting initiatives, often supporting sectors that do not receive traditional public funding.
