Lotus Technology acquires 100% of Lotus UK to unify global operations

Lotus Technology has completed the acquisition of 100% of the equity interests in Lotus Advance Technologies, the entity managing Lotus UK’s operations in Hethel, Norfolk. The transaction, finalized on August 21, 2026, follows the exercise of put options by shareholders Geely and Etika.

This merger unifies the brand’s British heritage manufacturing and engineering consultancy with Lotus Tech’s intelligent vehicle operations under a single corporate structure. The integration aims to accelerate the development of next-generation performance vehicles by combining British engineering expertise in aerodynamics and chassis dynamics with electrified mobility platforms.

Chief Executive Qingfeng Feng stated, “Lotus is one brand and one strategy, and from today it is one business.” The move is a central component of the company’s Focus 2030 strategy, intended to streamline R&D, supply chains, and global sales channels while ending the previous governance split between the UK-based manufacturing and the listed EV business.
