Lotus unveils Eletre X hybrid Hyper-SUV
Lotus has introduced the Eletre X, the brand's first plug-in hybrid Hyper-SUV, built on the new proprietary X-Hybrid platform. The vehicle is designed to combine electric driving dynamics with extended range capabilities via a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine that acts as a range extender and can charge the 70 kWh battery during transit.
The high-performance H1000 variant delivers up to 952 CV (700 kW) and 935 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds. It offers a total range of up to 1,200 km (WLTP) and an electric-only range of up to 305 km. The vehicle supports ultra-fast charging, capable of going from 20% to 80% in approximately 9 minutes at 436 kW.
Technologically, the Eletre X features active aerodynamics, including an active rear spoiler and grille shutter, and is equipped with integrated LiDAR sensors for advanced driver assistance. The interior is centered around a 15.1-inch OLED display running the Lotus Hyper OS system.
