Lou Marini visits Bagolino to trace family roots

Renowned saxophonist Lou Marini, known for his work with the Blues Brothers, recently visited Bagolino in the Valsabbia region to trace his family roots. The musician sought to reconnect with the history of his paternal grandmother, Silvia Schivalocchi, who was born in the town.

During his visit, Marini explored local landmarks, including the site of the historic Albergo Ciapana, which was formerly managed by the Schivalocchi Ciapana family. Accompanied by Ivan Bordiga and Filippo Melzani, he also visited the Habitar in sta terra museum to learn about local traditions and the area's musical heritage.
