Louis Bertignac Performs at Hyères Concert Despite Physical Pain

French rock guitarist Louis Bertignac, 72, the former co‑founder of the band Téléphone, delivered a free outdoor show in Hyères in early July 2026 in front of around 5,000 spectators. He said that while chronic aches and the fatigue of touring affect him off‑stage, performing "acts like a medication" that blocks the pain.

Bertignac confirmed he is working on a new album slated for release in spring 2027 and plans to pause live performances from November 2026 to early 2027 to recover, while continuing to write and record new material.
