Louis Clichy’s animated film ‘Le Corset’ set for release

The animated film ‘Le Corset’, directed by Louis Clichy, is scheduled for theatrical release on October 14, 2026. The film, which won the Grand Prix at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, is a 2D animated coming-of-age story set in the rural Beauce region.

The narrative follows Christophe, an 11-year-old boy living on a family farm facing financial debt. Due to scoliosis, Christophe must wear a metal brace to prevent himself from falling, a physical reality that Clichy describes as a metaphor for the changes and discomforts of adolescence. The story incorporates personal elements from the director’s life, including his connection to agricultural landscapes and the loss of his father.
