Louis de Bernières releases new book of Facebook reflections
Novelist Louis de Bernières, known for ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’, has released a new book titled ‘Smelling of Rooks’. The work is a collection of musings originally shared on Facebook before his profile was restricted in 2024.
The book features reflections on literary life, family, politics, travel, and the challenges of aging. The author uses self-deprecating humor to discuss personal topics, including health, lifestyle, and the absurdities of rural life in Norfolk.
