Louis Hachette Group reports modest revenue rise as Prisma Media revenue drops sharply

Louis Hachette Group announced first‑half 2026 results showing overall revenue of €4.545 billion, a 2 % increase on a comparable basis, and EBITA of €218 million. Growth was driven by Lagardère Travel Retail, whose sales reached nearly €3 billion, up about 3 % and supported by activity in the Americas and Asia‑Pacific. Lagardère Publishing posted a slight rise, while Lagardère Live returned to a small positive EBITA.

Prisma Media, the group's flagship magazine division, saw its revenue fall 24‑29 % to roughly €109 million amid a shrinking print market and weaker digital ad sales. The unit kept EBITA steady at €3 million and secured a Paris court judgment ordering Google to pay €66 million in compensation. In March the group sold its luxury portfolio to Vivendi, which simultaneously acquired a 13.58 % stake in Prisma. A restructuring plan was also approved, targeting up to a 40 % reduction in staff, with billionaire Vincent Bolloré holding a 31 % share of the group.
