Louis Vuitton unveils football-shaped timepiece for UNICEF

Louis Vuitton has collaborated with Swiss watchmaker L’Epée 1839 to create the ‘Louis Vuitton Unity Time Object’, a unique timepiece designed to mark the 10th anniversary of the brand’s partnership with UNICEF.

The clock is shaped like a skeletonized football, inspired by the design used during the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. It features a manual-winding mechanical movement with gold-toned cylinders and is adorned with 264 black and white diamonds, totaling 1.03 carats. The piece was handcrafted over 400 hours at the brand’s atelier in Asnières, near Paris.

The one-of-a-kind object is presented in a miniature version of a signature Louis Vuitton trunk. All proceeds from its auction at Sotheby’s are designated for UNICEF to support children affected by conflicts and natural disasters.
