Louisiana Boardwalk carousel reopens after restoration

The restored carousel at the Louisiana Boardwalk has officially reopened following months of restoration work, permits, and safety approvals. The reopening event drew families to the riverfront in the Shreveport-Bossier area to celebrate the return of the local landmark.

The restoration project involved hands-on work by Chef Gabriel Balderas, who is known in Northwest Louisiana for his culinary ventures including Zuzul Coastal Cuisine, El Cabo Verde, and The Brine. Balderas participated in the project by restoring the historic carousel horses.
