Louisiana celebrates October with seasonal candy trends and pumpkin patches

As October approaches, seasonal activities and traditions are taking center stage in Louisiana. According to data from Candystore.com, the top five best-selling Halloween candies in the state are Lemonheads, Salt Water Taffy, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Blow Pops, and M&M's.

In addition to candy, local communities are hosting seasonal events such as pumpkin patches. St. Francis Episcopal Church in Denham Springs is hosting its annual community fundraiser, which features pumpkins, gourds, and homemade pumpkin bread. The patch is scheduled to open on October 11, offering free admission to the public.
