The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that the I‑20 westbound off‑ramp to LA 526 (Bert Kouns Industrial Loop) will be fully closed from Monday, August 10 through Monday, August 24. The closure allows contractors to perform concrete pavement repairs and extend the deceleration lane to improve safety and traffic flow. Motorists are advised to use a detour via US 80 (Greenwood Road) to re‑enter LA 526. DOTD warned that traffic may be especially congested during peak travel times and urged drivers to exercise caution around construction crews and equipment.
