Louisiana OMV offices to close for system modernization

The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) has announced temporary closures and service interruptions due to system modernization efforts and staff training. All OMV customer service centers will be closed on Monday, September 14, 2026.

Contracted independent offices, including Public Tag Agents and Auto Title Companies, will be unable to process driver’s licenses, reinstatements, vehicle registrations, and title transactions from Saturday, September 12, through Monday, September 14, 2026.

Additionally, digital services including the Expresslane.la.gov website and the LA Wallet app will be unavailable from Saturday, September 12, through Sunday, September 13, 2026, while statewide system upgrades are conducted.
