Louisiana products earn 10 spots in Southern Food Hall of Fame

Louisiana has secured ten positions in Southern Living’s ‘Southern Food Hall of Fame,’ a list highlighting 50 iconic Southern-born foods and drinks. The state's culinary diversity is attributed to influences from French, African, Native American, Spanish, German, and Caribbean cultures.

Camellia Brand Beans, a New Orleans-based company founded in 1923, was ranked number one overall on the list. Other notable entries from the state include Cajun Country Rice from Crowley. The list features a variety of items born in Louisiana, ranging from staples like rice and beans to mayonnaise, hot sauce, sweet tea, and potato chips.
