Louisiana Tech Athletics reports recent results in volleyball, soccer, and cross country

Louisiana Tech University athletics reported several recent results across multiple sports. In volleyball, the Bulldogs suffered losses to Southern Miss in both a conference opener and a subsequent match, with Southern Miss winning 3-0 and 3-1.

In soccer, App State secured a 2-0 victory over Louisiana Tech, marking the Mountaineers' ninth consecutive win. Despite the loss, freshman goalkeeper Mackenzie Lorkowski entered the program record books by recording her 77th career save, currently leading all Division-1 players in saves per game. The Bulldogs are scheduled to face Southern Miss next.

In cross country, the Louisiana Tech women's team finished second and the men's team finished third at the Warhawk Invitational. Freshman Kaitlyn Sawyer led the women with a third-place finish, recording the ninth-fastest 5k time in program history. Brayden Vining led the men's team with an eighth-place finish.
